Please Let Me Hear From You

This blog is for sharing a love of paper crafting. I love paper crafting -
and Stampin' Up! products in particular -
and became an independent Stampin' Up!®™ demonstrator early in 2025.
I'd love to be YOUR demonstrator as you buy your Stampin' Up! products.
Full disclosure: I get a small commission on purchases made
using Stampin' Up! links from this website, but this in no way affects your price.
It just serves to help support this blog. Thank you in advance for that support!

Enjoy browsing my blog, and I'd love to hear from you.
It is what helps make the time I put into this blog feel worthwhile, and always brightens my day.

Memories in Bloom - 3rd project

Today's two-page scrapbook spread started with the Memories In Bloom Scrapbooking Workshop kit.  This is the second kit I've worked with, and this time I decided that instead of making the whole kit, I'd focus on one project.  I started with Project #3 because I thought it would work best with my photos.  I made the background pretty much as directed, but changed up the photos, embellishments, and title.

Here's the process video for this scrapbook layout.

Or you can look for the process video on my YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@CheringLOP

Here's a closeup of the first page:

This page still feels busy to me.  I've got to learn more about using these bold prints!  I reduced the size of the largest cluster, but probably should have reduced it even more, so the eye has more places to rest!  It IS challenging when using flip flaps, because if not for that, the cluster would have been over part of the photo, and that probably would have looked better.  It's the trade-off you get for being able to add more pictures.

One trick they used on this layout - that I think would be even better with other papers - is that they had us score each of the strips 1/2" from the right edge, fold it over and glue it in place, so we could see the reverse side of the paper.  Of course, you could get the same effect by cutting the paper strips 1" smaller, then cutting a 1/2" strip to place beside it showing the back.  That would save 1/2" paper per strip (and you could use a different paper for the 1/2" strip if you wished).

Anyway, most of the embellishments came from the kit.  I die cut the title from black cardstock - of which you only see the first two letters on this page - and added the city and date on the punch out.  I matted the words from the kit - "Lovely", "Beautiful" (and "Fun" on the next page) - on scraps of the Granny Apple Green two-tone cardstock.  The red flowers were fussy cut from scraps of the patterned paper (after I made sure they weren't needed for the other layouts!).  I cut the orange strip from the sticker sheet into banner pieces that I added to each cluster.  And another photo is part of the large cluster.

The large photo is in a flip flap.  Here you see it open so you can see the journaling and another photo underneath.

Here's the companion page:

The little photos are matted on more of the Granny Apple Green cardstock.  The small butterfly by the word "Rainforest" was from the dollar store, and there's another photo nestled in this third cluster.

Both sets of small photos are in flip flaps - here you see what they look like when open.

I hope you enjoyed these projects today.  I am an independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, and I would love to have you choose me (Cheryl Manley) as YOUR demonstrator when purchasing from Stampin' Up! I will receive a small commission on such a purchase, but it will not affect the price you pay.  It simply helps me continue to create these blog posts.
