Usually my scrapbook pages are inspired by photos I have that I want to create pages for, but today's pages were inspired cutting dies! From the moment I first saw the Made with Sweetness cutting dies, I knew I wanted to create these pages. I LOVE these cutting dies! They make such realistic paper fruit! And since we are still enjoying the jams we made from an abundant crop of peaches from our tree, the memories of making peach jam are still fresh in my mind. I'm also using the coordinating Homemade Sweetness designer series papers.
I made two stand alone pages - and a video showing how they were made:
No pictures? No Problem -
I'm trying to learn to take more pictures, but for too many of my memories, I don't have pictures! I STILL want to have pages about those memories! The above page is one example of how I did that. With papers and die cuts that support the theme of my story - and a couple of "head shots" of those involved from the approximate time frame, I have what I need to make an interesting page. The peace slices and cherries were die cut using the Made with Sweetness cutting dies, while the jar was created using an old Stampendous die I had in my stash. The title was suggested by AI, and die cut using dies in my stash, though Stampin' Up! has several alphabet dies you can choose from and that I hope to purchase for myself! (I really like their die sets, because they often contain EXTRA letters for those that are used the most! That often means I'd be able to cut my titles in ONE pass instead of having to do multiple passes for letters that are used more than once in my words.)
With Picture:
Then I have a page that I DID have a picture for - along with papers and die cuts. In addition to the die cuts, I fussy cut some of the embellishments from the Homemade Sweetness DSP, and the lemons from the Mediterranean Blooms DSP (discontinued). The mat shaped like a recipe index was die cut using another die from the Made with Sweetness cutting dies, as were the peach slices and orange slices. The mat for the title (words again suggested by AI) was from the Branching Out die set. My picture is actually in a flip flap, which shows a couple of favorite peach jam recipes when open.
