Please Let Me Hear From You

This blog is for sharing a love of paper crafting. I love paper crafting -
and Stampin' Up! products in particular -
and became an independent Stampin' Up!®™ demonstrator early in 2025.
I'd love to be YOUR demonstrator as you buy your Stampin' Up! products.
Full disclosure: I get a small commission on purchases made
using Stampin' Up! links from this website, but this in no way affects your price.
It just serves to help support this blog. Thank you in advance for that support!

Enjoy browsing my blog, and I'd love to hear from you.
It is what helps make the time I put into this blog feel worthwhile, and always brightens my day.

A Special Gift

Make a quick gift that a love one will cherish!  This one is an 8 x 8 scrapbook showing pictures from a very special birthday celebration.

For tips, tricks, and "how-to's", check out this video:

It's SO nice to have stamps and dies that you can use to make your scrapbooks special.  Right now, there are a couple of products that I especially recommend:

Alphabet dies are GREAT for creating your titles. Stampin' Up! has a great set on last chance sale right now - the one I used for the title on the 2nd and 3rd pages of this scrapbook. It's called ALPHABET A LA MODE and is currently 40% off!

Some of the stamps I used came from the CELEBRATE TOGETHER stamp set (which is ALSO 40% off as I write this!): Others came from discontinued sets, but there are several really nice new sets you can pick up here.

You can subscribe to my YouTube channel here.

And make Stampin' Up! purchases here.

Page 1: (see top of post) - Note the embossing on the background cardstock.  Adding texture can make such a difference!  If you pick a page size that can fit through your cutting and embossing machine, you can emboss the entire page.  Other wise, you can emboss smaller pieces and glue them to the background - perhaps creating an embossed border or perhaps an embossed mat for your focal.

Page 2:

These pages represent one of the big reasons I LOVE using Stampin' Up! products for scrapbooking.  When I choose one or more of the Stampin' Up! colors that will support my photos, I can find patterned papers, cardstock, inks, and Stampin' Blend alcohol markers and often even ribbon and "bling" that ALL COORDINATE with those colors!  It is WONDERFUL to not have to spend a ton of time hunting through stash to find products that will work.  (Check out my video for a tip about how I track the colors in my patterned papers!)  This page and the next split a title made using the cutting dies mentioned above.

Page 3:

Note the blended ink behind the title.  It's so easy to use a blending brush and add a little ink to the area before you add your title!

Page 4:

For some reason, the colors don't show true in this page and the next.  The area that looks gray is actually an orange-gold glimmer paper that looks SO good with the whole (check out the video to see what it really looks like).  Anyway, the beautiful background paper here and on the next page is made from a paper napkin from the event! (see video for how to prepare the napkin for this use). It's such a fun way to preserve a special napkin!

Page 5:

On this page, the preserved napkin also serves as title!

Page 6:

Again, this page and the next are made in a similar fashion.  I took two pieces of coordinating patterned paper that were 8" x 8" and cut them both on the diagonal.  Then I arranged half of each to meet in the middle and taped them from the back side with transparent tape.  I covered the join with a beautiful coordinating ribbon.

Page 7:

Page 8:

Here I started with squares that were just a bit smaller than 4" x 4".  I cut them on the diagonal and added them to a piece of 8 x 8 cardstock to create the pattern you see above.  I repeated this for the next page.

Page 9:

This time the title was printed from my computer, then cut to a rectangle with corners rounded.  As you can see, I matted it on a piece of cardstock that was just a bit larger.  I also used stamps from Our Story stamp set to decorate the corners.  The lower white triangle was left so that Mom can fill in the names of the people that came to help her celebrate.

Page 10:

These pages are similar - different papers, different title, different corner stamps (from Peaceful Days stamp set), but same basic layout.

Page 11:

Page 12:

Again, the title was made using cutting dies.  This layout would easily lend itself to using up scraps because of the many small rectangles used.

Page 13:

This time I have the same layout as the previous page, but it is rotated 90 degrees because of the orientation of the photos.  I simply used a marker to add the subtitle to this page.

Page 14:

This stamp from the Celebrate Together stamp set, was PERFECT for the title of this page - and SO much faster to stamp it than to use alphabet cutting dies!

Page 15:

As you can see, this page also would lend itself well to using up scraps since it's made of hexagons from a variety of papers.

Page 16:

This title - again from the Celebrate Together stamp set - makes a GREAT title for these pages.  Some cardstock together with a couple of pieces of patterned paper come together to create a great layout.

Page 17:

Page 18:

I again embossed the background cardstock here, but then lightly inked it to really bring out that texture.  I then added a variety of dark and light blue papers and cardstock (Night of Navy & Boho Blue) to create the fun mat for the photo.  As you can see, I also added some sparkly Night of Navy ribbon.

Page 19:

This page is embossed and inked in a similar way to the previous one, but first I stamped the sentiment using a stamp from the Lovely Florals set, creating a title.  It's not as easy to see in the picture, but you can clearly tell in the video that I was careful to not ink the background embossing all the way to the title, but instead left a small area around it un-inked.

Page 20:

Unfortunately the photo of this page was slightly cut off around the edges, but I think you can still get the idea.  In addition to the die cut title, I used Poppy Parade ink to stencil a decorative edge.

I put these pages back to back in an 8 x 8 album with 10 page protectors in it and had a beautiful memory gift to give to my Mother.

I hope you enjoyed these projects today.  I am an independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, and I would love to have you choose me (Cheryl Manley) as YOUR demonstrator when purchasing from Stampin' Up! I will receive a small commission on such a purchase, but it will not affect the price you pay.  It simply helps me continue to create these blog posts and videos.  All Stampin' Up! images are copyright Stampin' Up!
